Marie (45) is a Romany woman and mother of three who is also a foster mother of three other children. She lives with her husband Enrik and their children in Varnsdorf, where she has spent her whole life. Our film starts right when Marie and Enrik offer their home as an asylum to other related Romany families who were displaced from their own home along with other tenants. Suddenly, twenty more people are living in Marie and Erik’s, and most of them are children who Marie also takes care of… Marie’s story gives insight into the heart of the Romany community in one of the most excluded localities of the Czech Republic.
